Sales with no conditions are tougher to get these days… In prime areas of Toronto we are used to getting firm sales particularly with multiple offers. Offers with no conditions are for sure rarer now. Buyers are extremely careful with committing to financing without a commitment from their lending institution. We are seeing many offers conditional on financing and buyers are refusing to take the condition out even if it means losing the deal. We are also seeing an increase in deals falling apart because of financing. It's just tougher now. Generally there are less deals happening and the ones that do happen are tougher to put together. Strong agents on both sides are definitely helpful in getting things done.
